ALLLMOST finished master suite...

Here are some pictures of the Master Suite!! There are a few more things to add (doors to bedroom, built in shoe closet, hide tv cords in wall) but we do enjoy a whole floor to ourselves!

Ryan and I went to Las Vegas recently to meet up with some of our Baltimore Friends to celebrate a birthday! It included some of my favorite things...
 Hiking!

 Chihuly Glass at the Bellagio

 REAL FOOD!!!!!!!!

WE ARE MOVED IN! The last major projects for a while are compete - kitchen, wood floor in living room, furniture. We still have the office, 1st floor bath, and guest room to finish. The main living spaces are livable. YAY! Here are a few pictures....

Bundles O' Wood! We got our hickory flooring straight from the mill in southern Indiana. If anyone wants the info let me know! They were very fairly priced and knowledgeable.

Since the wood had lots of "character" aka knots we used a putty recommended and sold by the mill. So just to clarify we did not have black patchy floors!
Putty in pre stain/clear coat.

Here is the furniture we have in the living room and dining room so far...

Tido enjoying his favorite activity - sun bathing.

I know you will ALL WANT this table - found and gifted by Melissa - from an antique mall. It weighs about 100 pounds (solid metal) and reminds me of the empire state building. We moved it from the kitchen to the dining area to serve as a sideboard to the dining room.

Looking from the mudroom to the living/dining area you can see how long the room is.

Kitchen still needs some finish trim work and tile back splash.

Bye Bye Chimney!

We are moved in! Its still feels weird, like its still an open work site.  I am waiting to show you all pictures of the completed upstairs until we get a few more tiny things done. We have a rail to install, window blinds, and art to hang. One major project was taking out the 2 chimneys, 1 fireplace, and patching siding. We hired Ross Winters to do this project for us so Dad and I could do tile and wood floor. Here are a few pictures of this project.

More pictures soon!
