Wonderful Wednesdays & Drywall in the Master Suite!

Before we get to an update on the house I'd like to show you my finds at White's Flea Market....or as I like to call it.... Magical Wonderland.
These are old type blocks for printing presses. They are super heavy and still have original stamp color. They say J or E in the circle and its the quality/grade type for Hills Roses in Richmond Indiana. I got these little babies for $1 a piece!!! I think I will end up hanging them on a wall
Old Lady Scarfs - Table Runners, Pillows, Keep my neck styling! I got 10 for $2!
2 Mini Vases and 2 Mini Goldfish bowls - .25 each

Here are the latest picture from the drywall work being done in the upstairs.
This is a view of part of the bedroom and my closet.
This is from the opposite corner in the bedroom. The large opening will have 2 small 24 inch doors.
This is Ryan's closet...slightly smaller than mine.
This is the view standing in front of Ryan's closet and looking towards the front of the house.
This is the closet in the master bathroom. Toilet is to the left.
This is the shower and little window to have obscured glass on the left.
View from the corner of the bathroom. The cut holes are for 2 medicine/mirror cabinets above the vanity.

Back to Bloggin!

You may have noticed a huge LACK of joy and meaning to your life lately....a NEW Schilling Renovation Blog!
I apologize for my lack of consistency.
I went on a beach trip to Ocean City Maryland for Labor Day with my dearest Hannah Sioux.
We celebrated Hannah's 24th Birthday with scrumptious meal at Bakers Acres.
Ryan and I went to the Indy Moto GP race.

I am back in business in Rushville. One person who did not take leave on my absence was my dad, Alan. While I was away he and my Mom did all the electric, framing and plumbing for the master bed and bath!
This picture is from the very beginning of the plumbing work. I will spare you the details of every Sharkbite and PVC elbow.

I DID finally find a double bathroom vanity! My dear friend Craigslist.com brought me this little beauty for $500. Its a cabinet made from a shop in Cincinnati with a granite top.
I found some slightly modern hardware for it to steer away from traditional style.

We got all our tile for the Mudroom, Laundry room, Kitchen, Guest Bath and 2 landings at The Home Depot. Mom found some wonderful tile for the master bath at Menards. They also had the small glass tile, kickplate tiles and accent tiles to go with! Ryan's truck temporarily looked like a custom low rider!
Master Bath Tile and Back Splash Tile
Master Bath Tile & Vanity Top

The master bedroom, closets and bathroom now have walls!!!

Largest closet in the master bedroom.
Small closet in the hallway. Also serves as the other side of the bedroom door.
Pocket door to the master bath. (I am in love with pocket doors!)This door happened to be on sale for $10 and my dad snagged it for me!
A metal railing will go here to make a clean open hallway to the master suite.
This is the master shower. The 3 walls around the top will be tiled with 2x2 accent tile.
This area is framed our for our 2 large beveled mirrors to go above the vanity.

I tore our all the old fiberboard from the guest bedroom closet in prep for new drywall.

This is the guest bedroom - 86 the nasty carpet! Shiny wood floors underneath.
We had a visit from the pink panther! This can only mean insulation for the master suite!
The insulation is done. The drywall crew starts today! In less than a week we will be ready to prime and paint the master suite! Next blog topic........PAINT COLORS!!!
